On the Labour Day long weekend we decided to take our grand daughter camping so while we had the chance we headed out to Lake Dyer at Bill Gunn Dam, just outside of Laidley QLD.
I was lucky enough to catch a sunrise. Only due to my husband waking me up and telling me the sky looks good and to grab the camera. So I waited for the colour to show and the fog was lifting off a small dam on the other side of Lake Dyer in someone else’s property. So I walked down the fence line and waited for the sun to show. The second shot was taken after the sun rose and the light show was over but as I turned around the scene behind me was eye catching. I treated that shot through a HDR process. It bought the colours out where before it looked pretty bland.
The Harley bike and people are the managers of the camp grounds. They were happy to bring their bike down for a photo shoot late in the afternoon as the sun was setting.
They had remote control boats on the water one morning, so a friend Greg came up and got me and we went down to see the action. Gee can they move fast. Here are just a couple of them.
The last photo is of the next days sunset over the dam with some boaters coming in after a drive around the dam.
